Bird Holiday Coat Drive
Before you toss your old or boring winter coat in the company donation bin, consider this.... Through December 31st, the clothing boutique chain Bird will be helping out New York Cares with a cool promo, where you can donate a used winter coat and receive $25 off the price of a new coat. Take advantage of these stellar savings at any of Bird’s three Brooklyn locations.
Give a little this December with help from swanky eatery Tempo in Park Slope. When you dine there any Saturday this month, the restaurant will donate the full value of your bill to the Modest Needs Foundation, a charity helping the poor. Even if you’re a total Scrooge, think of it this way—you get a tax write off (ask your waiter for details), and you get an awesome meal out of it.

The U.S. Marines Toys for Tots are in desperate need for toy donations this year. Each year The Tres Chic Foundation host a children's holiday party for deserving youngsters in the Bedford Stuyvesant community of Brooklyn, NY. With the assistance of generous donations like the Toys for Tots organization we are able to share in the joys of the season with hundreds of underprivileged children. I've been involved in toy donations for many years and this is the first time my organization has ever been faced with this dilemma. So if you can, why not help put a smile on a youngster's face this holiday season! Donating is simple....
