Lashing Out for Summer.....

When it comes to beauty we're all obsessed with fabulous full lashes.. I for one feel partially nude without them!

Lashes have long been a fave of celebrity make-up artists and have recently found themselves at the top of the summer beauty-must have list for summer. According to a recent report in the Huffington Post, lashes have become the fastest growing cosmetic trend on the market.

During the summer season many of us prefer to keep our make up looks simple.... Except when it comes to our lashes! Lashes can transform your entire look and awaken even the most tired eyes. We've tried an endless array of products on the market and decided to share our absolute faves with you.. After all, sharing is caring.. Especially in the fabulous world of Beauty!

Individual Lashes Versus Strip Lashes....

First and foremost, I cannot stress how important it is to have individual lashes applied by a trained professional. I have heard the horror stories and trust me they're not so pretty...
Individual lashes are applied one at a time and can take anywhere from 20-40 minutes. The technician normally uses Duralash (one of the best) and quickly dips the lash and begins to fill in with your natural lashes. These can last anywhere from 1-2 weeks but recommended to be taken off and re-applied in a week.

Whole strip lashes are my absolute fave.. They're simple to apply and look all kinds of glamorous. I've used the high-end beauty counter brands but always come right back to my trusted and true drug store brand.

Step 1:  Cleanse the entire eye area. Measure the false lash with your natural lash line.
Step 2: Cut off any excess.
Step 3: Place a dollop of  Duo lash glue along the lash line and spread evenly across while poisitioning with the tweezer. False lash should be placed directly on your natural lash line. Strips can be washed with baby shampoo or wiped clean with eye make up remover and used multiple times. You can even apply mascara, liner or use a lash curler for a lil' added drama.
