Chic Fashion Trend Alert: In All Things.... Wear The Hat!

It looks like a classic tried and true fashion staple is making it's rounds on the runways AGAIN!

If you're a fabulous reader of Tres Chic Style you are aware if my obsession with a fierce chapeaux. I have been wearing hats since childhood and have been designing millinery for almost 20 years.

Miss Tres Chic at 6 years old....Rocking a HAT!!! 

A hat is the perfect addition to any look. I believe a hat makes the look complete. Hats are polished, sleek and so ladylike. 

In the African American community, the ancestors referred to hats as "Crowns". I grew up in Christian home where the church often spoke of hats being a necessity for women as a head covering. Wearing a hat was more than a fashion statement on Sunday mornings. Your "Crown" was a an indication of your spiritual connection with the word of God.

There's something about a hat that just makes me feel confident and bold. I prefer an oversized brim but own a few fedoras, berets and vintage pill box styles.
